New Media Wing in the College of Fine Arts

Remodeling and adding to the New Media Wing is a priority for the College of Fine Arts. This addition will accommodate the relocation of the Department of Film Studies, Animation and Digital Media (FSADM), the College of Fine Arts Deans Office, classrooms for the College of Architecture+Planning and provide for interdisciplinary uses.

This project has two phases. The first phase is remodeling the basement, incorporating classrooms for the College of Architecture+Planning, equipment rooms and digital labs for the College of Fine Arts and general education classrooms. Phase two on the main level will house the FSADM, and the College of Fine Arts Deans Office, as well as office space for two new USTAR principal investigators as well as the Center for Interdisciplinary Arts and Technology. There will also be performance and visual research space with an overhead sound booth and flexible telescoping seating for 90.
